Year 5 Litter Picking Trip to Crosby Beach 2025
Year 5 Trip to Crosby Beach and Litter Pick
Our Year 5 pupils had a great time on their trip to Crosby Beach.
They explored the beautiful coastline, saw the famous Anthony Gormley ‘Another Place’ statues, and took part in an important litter-picking activity to help keep the beach clean.
The weather may have been a little dull and miserable, but that didn’t dampen their spirits. After their hard work, Year 5 enjoyed their packed lunch by the sea, making the most of the fresh air and a great day out.
They also brought one of the bags of litter back to school to discuss which was the most common type of rubbish. In their next lesson, they will be plotting the data on a graph and pie chart to explore their findings further. This activity linked to the HPL values of collaboration and concern for society, as the children worked together to make a positive difference.
A huge well done to all of them for their enthusiasm and effort in looking after the environment!
