Equality and Diversity
Burtonwood Community Primary School is committed to ensuring that all children are treated fairly and have equal access to the full range of educational opportunities provided by the school.
The school has ensured that it is fulfilling the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 for children, staff and all other stakeholders. In line with the specific duties which must be in place for schools and local authorities by 6th April 2012, we have collected a range of information showing how we are meeting the three aims of the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations in relation to age (as appropriate), disability, ethnicity, gender (including issues of transgender, and of maternity and pregnancy), religion and belief, and sexual identity.
Our equality objectives, which are aligned with our School Improvement Plan, are based on the information we have obtained, including feedback from consultation with pupils, parents and staff.
Our Equal Opportunities Policy is available for parents through our website. If you would like to enquire further about our equality information or objectives, please contact the head teacher through the school office.
