Year 4 Science - Circuits

In Science this week, Year 4 have been putting their High Performance Learning skills to great use, particularly enquiring and collaborating. The children have been investigating which materials are electrical conductors and which are insulators.

Working in small groups, they carefully set up simple circuits and made thoughtful predictions before testing a range of everyday materials, including string, a metal spoon, a plastic spoon, a split pin, and a plastic-covered paper clip, to see if the bulb would light.

Year 4 discovered which materials allowed electricity to pass through and which did not. It was great to see so much curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking as the children discussed their results and shared their ideas.

Great work Year 4!
