Year 3 Science - Friction

Year 3 Science - Friction
Year 3 have been investigating friction in science over the past few weeks.
Pupils have been exploring how different surfaces affect movement by measuring the roughness of materials and observing the impact on toy cars and bottle tops.
They tested a range of classroom surfaces, made predictions, and carefully recorded their results to compare findings. The activities have sparked lots of curiosity, and pupils have asked thoughtful questions about how friction helps us in everyday life, such as stopping us from slipping or helping vehicles slow down.
Pupils have enjoyed getting hands-on with the experiments and have worked brilliantly together.
Well done Year 3!
