Reception - Hen Visit

Reception have been enjoying the story of The Little Red Hen, and to make their learning even more exciting, one of our families kindly brought two real hens into the classroom for them to meet.

The children were fascinated as they got the chance to touch the hens and observe them up close. They also explored the eggs they lay and the straw they use to build their nests, helping the children make real-life connections to the story.

It was a wonderful hands-on experience that brought the story to life and sparked lots of curiosity and discussion. The children absolutely loved it, and we are very grateful to the family for sharing their hens with us.
