Reception Go on a Minibeast Hunt

Reception Go on a Minibeast Hunt
Reception have been busy learning all about minibeasts and exploring the fascinating creatures that live in our outdoor environment. As part of their topic, the children went on a minibeast hunt around our outdoor area, carefully searching in different habitats to see what they could discover.
The children were excited to find a variety of minibeasts, including ladybirds, ants, woodlice and beetles. The children looked closely at the creatures they had found and talked about where minibeasts like to live. A particular highlight was investigating our storage sheds, where the children discovered some huge spiders!
The minibeast hunt provided a great opportunity for the children to explore the natural world, develop their observation skills and learn more about the tiny creatures that share our school environment. Reception have loved being outdoor explorers and are really enjoying this exciting topic.
Well done Reception!
