Year 6 have been exploring the art of photomontage, learning how photographs and images can be combined to create imaginative and eye-catching designs.
The children have experimented with selecting suitable images and arranging cut pieces in different ways to explore composition and layout. Working in their sketchbooks, they have tried out a variety of ideas before developing their favourite compositions into effective advertising posters.
They have also explored the style of an artist and considered how different artistic techniques and ideas can be used to respond creatively to a design brief.
It has been fantastic to see the children experimenting with their ideas and making thoughtful choices about how images can be arranged to communicate a message effectively. Well done, Year 6!
