Year 2 Put Their Structures to the Test

In Design and Technology Year 2 have been exploring how the shape of a structure can affect its strength.

The children put their learning into practice by designing and building their own structures, thinking carefully about how different shapes and arrangements could make them stronger and more stable.

They enjoyed testing their creations and discovering how well they could support the weight of the books placed on top. This hands-on activity helped them understand the importance of shape when designing strong structures.

A fantastic opportunity for our young designers and engineers to put their problem-solving skills to the test!
