Our Year 6 pupils have been marking their last days at Burtonwood Community Primary School with a number of activities and performances this week.

As a grand finale to their primary school journey, the talented Year 6 students put on a special show for parents and friends. Titled "I'm an 11-Year-Old, Get Me Out of Here!", the young performers, supported by the Year 5 choir, delivered a captivating production that left the audience laughing and smiling throughout.

With a blend of humour, talent, and teamwork, the children showcased their artistic abilities and bid farewell to their primary years. Proud parents and spectators were thoroughly impressed, and the event served as a testament to the students' hard work and dedication.

On Wednesday the children were also treated to non-uniform day and inflatable fun to enjoy with their friends. Along with snacks and drinks the pupils spent the day enjoying some time jumping, bouncing and bungying as well as trying table tennis.

The week ended with a special presentation evening for the children and their families before they head off to High School.

Acting Head Teacher Sarah Ignatius said: “Year 6 put on such an amazing show. The audience were filled with laughter and smiles as the children performed their final production of their primary journey and parents commented on what a fabulous show it was.

"We’ve had great fun celebrating with our Year 6 class this week and wish them all the best of luck for their futures.”

Well done Year 6!
