Year 6 Students Embark on Educational Adventure at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry
Year 6 students from Burtonwood Community Primary School recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. The children took part in a range of activities throughout the day which supported and enriched both their current learning and learning from previous years.
Over the morning, the children had time to explore the textiles gallery and watch the Revolution Manchester show to support their current learning around the industrial revolution and the impact it had on local areas.
During the afternoon, Year 6 explored the interactive experiment gallery where they were able to play and investigate a range of different science skills. The children also enjoyed the Power Up exhibit which taught them about the history of computers and gaming over the last five decades - the opportunity to play on over 100 different consoles and computers also proved extremely popular!
