Year 6 Leavers Celebrate in Heart-warming Assembly at St. Michael's All Angels Church
This morning, the Year 6 students of Burtonwood Community Primary School gathered for their leavers' assembly at St. Michael's All Angels Church. The event was a heartfelt send-off, attended by a large number of parents, grandparents, and carers, all eager to wish the students well as they prepare to leave primary school.
The celebration featured a collection of photos submitted by parents, capturing both humorous moments and memories from the students' first days at Burtonwood. The assembly was filled with nostalgic memories and songs, bringing smiles and a few tears to the audience.
Headteacher Mr. Heatley added a poetic touch by reading poems, enhancing the reflective atmosphere of the occasion. Students took turns sharing their favourite memories from their time at the school.
A notable moment in the assembly was the presentation of the annual Rotary Club award, which was given to one outstanding student. This recognition further added to the significance of the morning.
As the assembly drew to a close, the emotion was palpable, with the realisation setting in that Year 6 will be leaving in just two days to embark on their next adventure in high school. The staff at Burtonwood Community Primary School expressed their heartfelt wishes for the students' future, hoping for their continued success and happiness.
The celebrations are set to continue with a disco later today, followed by a fun day tomorrow, ensuring that the Year 6 students leave with happy memories and a sense of accomplishment.
