Year 5's Exciting Trip to the Etihad Stadium

Year 5 had an incredible opportunity to play football at the iconic Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, in a thrilling tournament organised by Freedom Football.  Competing against three other schools our young football stars showcased remarkable skill, sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day.

The team's performance was outstanding, achieving 3 wins, 2 draws, and just one loss. Their hard work and determination paid off as Burtonwood emerged as the overall winners!

The experience was nothing short of unforgettable for the students, who got a taste of playing at a professional stadium. 

A huge congratulations to the team!  Burtonwood is immensely proud of your fantastic accomplishment!
