Sea Cadets Inspire Burtonwood Pupils

Pupils from Years 4, 5, and 6 at Burtonwood Community Primary School were treated to an inspiring visit from the Newton-le-Willows Sea Cadets, an organisation dedicated to equipping young people with life skills and fostering personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.

During the assembly, the Sea Cadets introduced their wide variety of activities, including sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, rock climbing, camping, and music. These activities are designed to build essential qualities such as teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, and honesty, qualities that help children become the best versions of themselves.

The Cadets also highlighted the opportunity to earn valuable qualifications, such as boating and first aid certificates, which can serve as lasting assets for the future.

The purpose of the assembly was to encourage young people to join the Sea Cadets and explore the exciting modules and classes on offer. By doing so, children can develop confidence, resilience, and essential skills to thrive in an ever-changing world, no matter their aspirations.
