Year 5 Art - Collagraph Printmaking
Year 5 Art - Collagraph Printmaking
Year 5 pupils have been exploring the exciting world of collagraph printmaking, drawing inspiration from the captivating artwork Moonwalk by Teis Albers. This hands-on technique allowed them to experiment with a variety of textured materials, including bubble wrap and fabric, to create their own unique printing plates.
The process encouraged pupils to embrace their creativity and curiosity while collaborating with their peers. They demonstrated perseverance and flexibility in their artistic choices, carefully considering how different textures and layering techniques would contribute to their final designs.
Throughout the activity, pupils showcased High-Performance Learning (HPL) values, particularly agility, hard work, and empathy. They adapted their ideas as they progressed, refining their prints with patience and determination.
We can’t wait to see the final prints. Well done Year 5!
