Year 4 Showcase Assembly 2025
Year 4 Celebrate Their River Studies with a Fantastic Assembly
Year 4 pupils put on a fantastic assembly showcasing their learning about rivers, tying in with their recent trip to Cuerden Valley Park. The event, attended by parents, grandparents and carers, highlighted the children’s hard work.
As part of their geography curriculum, the pupils explored the features and structure of rivers both in the classroom and on their educational visit. During the assembly, they proudly presented the projects they had completed at home, demonstrating their knowledge through detailed models, posters, and written reports.
The children shared fascinating river facts, explaining how rivers shape the landscape and support diverse ecosystems.
One of the assembly highlights was a fun performance of a song about rivers, complete with a rap chorus. The pupils added an extra touch of fun by wearing hats and glasses during their performance. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made it a standout moment of the assembly.
Following the assembly, parents were invited to view the children’s work, giving them the opportunity to see the the learning that takes place in the classroom.
The assembly was a great success, celebrating both the children’s hard work and the valuable experiences gained from their trip to Cuerden Valley Park.
The school is incredibly proud of the pupils’ achievements. Well done Year 4!
