Year 6 Take Part in Personal Safety Workshop with Judo Education

Year 6 pupils recently took part in a valuable Personal Safety workshop, led by visitors from Judo Education. The session aimed to empower children with the knowledge and confidence to keep themselves safe in a variety of situations, both in school and out in the wider world.

During the workshop, pupils learned a range of practical self-defence techniques designed to help them feel more secure and aware of their personal space. With expert guidance, the children practised safe breakaway moves and were shown how to react calmly and confidently in situations that might make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

The pupils showed great focus throughout the session, listening carefully and engaging fully with the practical demonstrations. They worked in pairs to practise the techniques.

Judo Education delivered the workshop in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way, encouraging the children to think about personal safety in a positive and proactive manner. The workshop was a fantastic success and an excellent way to support our pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. A huge thank you to Judo Education for delivering such an informative and inspiring session.

Well done Year 6!
