Year 3 Football at Inter-MAT Tournament

A group of Year 3 pupils had a fantastic day representing the school at the Inter-MAT Year 3 Football Tournament, held at Chapleford Primary School last week.

A few children were selected from across the year group to take part, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in both friendly and competitive matches.

The tournament brought together local primary schools from across the Multi Academy Trust, creating a brilliant atmosphere and plenty of exciting games.

Our team played exceptionally well throughout the day, demonstrating determination, great communication, and excellent team spirit. After a series of strong performances, they secured their place in the final — an exciting and tightly contested match that was eventually decided by a golden goal. Despite their best efforts, our team narrowly missed out, finishing runners-up to Westbrook Old Hall Primary School.

A special mention went out to Finley and George, who were both recognised as Players of the Tournament for their outstanding performances, commitment, and positive attitude on the pitch. Well done Finley and George!
