HPL in Action Week Beginning 23rd June 2025

HPL in Action – Share Your Child’s Learning Journey
We are passionate about developing High Performance Learning (HPL) values in our pupils, both in school and beyond. We would love to see how your child demonstrates these skills and qualities at home, whether through clubs, hobbies, creative projects, problem-solving activities, or even everyday challenges.
We invite parents and carers to send in photos and examples of their children demonstrating these values. These could be from sports clubs, music or drama performances, science experiments, artwork, fundraising, or any activity where they show resilience, originality, confidence, or big-picture thinking.
Please send your details, along with a photo to Miss Coupe in school—we can’t wait to share and celebrate their fantastic efforts!
This week's focus is enquiring. This can be described as 'Be curious, independent and willing to question ideas.'
Millie Year 1 and Teddy Reception
Millie and Teddy have both been learning to kayak outside of school, demonstrating the HPL value of taking on a new challenge. They are both getting really good at rowing on their own. Well done Millie and Teddy!
Ellen - Year 4
Ellen was awarded 1st place at the All Nations Dance Competition held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham on Sunday 29 June 2025. Ellen demonstrated the HPL value of Deliberate Practice. Well Done Ellen!
Jessica - Year 4
Jessica recently took part in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life, running alongside members of her Slimming World group. Together, they raised over £3,000 to support cancer research and awareness.
Jessica demonstrated the HPL value of 'Concern for Society', showing compassion and dedication to helping others in her community. Her efforts not only contributed to an important cause but also inspired those around her to get involved and make a difference.
Well done, Jessica, for your amazing achievement!
Oliver - Year 1
Ollie recently completed a maths test at his tutoring group and successfully moved up a level. He is steadily developing the HPL value of Confidence, growing more self-assured each week through his continued effort and progress. As a reward for his achievement, he received a squishy toy and a certificate, which he was very proud of.
