Year 2 Showcase Assembly - Safety Central Visit

Year 2 pupils welcomed parents and carers into school for a special showcase assembly focused on their recent trip to Safety Central in Lymm. The children were excited to share what they had learned during their visit, where they took part in a variety of activities designed to teach them how to stay safe in different situations.

During the assembly, pupils spoke about the hands-on experiences they enjoyed at the centre — including spotting hazards in a realistic home setup, and learning about fire, water, road and railway safety. They also learned about calling for help in an emergency.

To end the assembly, the children sang Happy Breathing, a calming song designed to help them manage their emotions and stay relaxed.

Afterwards, families were invited into the classroom to look at the children’s wonderful work from across the year.

Well done Year 2!
