Year 2 Science

Year 2 are investigating what a seed needs to grow healthily by observing three plants under different conditions: one with water and warmth, one with sunlight and warmth, and one with water, warmth, and sunlight.

Using the HPL skill of enquiring, the children are asking questions, making predictions, and recording observations in a plant diary.

Each child has also taken a plant home to care for, giving it all three essentials to see if they can successfully grow a flowering plant.

They are excited to see the results and will be sharing their findings over the coming weeks.
