Year 6 Celebrations at Burtonwood Community Primary School

As our Year 6 pupils prepare to move on to high school, we’ve had a lovely week celebrating their time at Burtonwood Community Primary School.

The week began with their fantastic end-of-year production, The X Factory. The children worked so hard to put on a brilliant show, and it was clear how much effort they’d put into their acting, singing and dancing. It was a real treat for everyone who came to watch.

Midweek, we went to St Michael’s All Angels Church for the Leavers’ Assembly. It was a special and emotional occasion, with the children sharing memories, singing, and receiving well-deserved recognition for their achievements. There were even a few tears as we looked back on their time at Burtonwood.

Later in the week, the children enjoyed their Fun Day, which included an inflatable, a water fight, games, dancing and a lunch of hot dogs and burgers. Despite the occasional shower, spirits were high, and the weather didn’t dampen the fun.

Later that evening, to round off the week of celebrations, Year 6 returned to school for their Leavers’ Disco. There was a photo booth, candy floss, a sweet table and a DJ playing all their favourite songs. The hall was decorated to make it feel extra special, and the children enjoyed food including pizza, chicken and chips.

It’s been a week full of fun, laughter and celebration—a lovely way to say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils and send them off with lots of happy memories.

We’re proud of you all, and we wish you the very best of luck at high school. Don’t forget to come back and visit us!

Goodbye and Good Luck Year 6!
