Year 5 Music – Composing with Instruments

Year 5 have been busy becoming composers. Using a range of instruments, they worked in groups to create and record their own short musical scores. Pupils experimented with rhythm, tempo and dynamics to bring their compositions to life, showing imagination and creativity.

Pupils demonstrated collaboration, listening carefully to one another’s ideas and combining them into a shared piece of music.

We were impressed with their ability to think flexibly, trying out different instruments and patterns to achieve the sounds they wanted. Their teamwork and creative thinking were a perfect example of HPL values in action.

Well done Year 5!
