Year 5 DT - Circuits

In DT, Year 5 have been recapping their knowledge of simple circuits and exploring everyday items that use a motor and are powered by a battery. Pupils thought carefully about the purpose of these objects and discussed alternative items that could do the same job without using electricity.

They are now working towards creating their own ‘doodlers’, which rely on a similar simple circuit to make marks and patterns. The pupils are excited to combine their scientific understanding with creativity as their designs come to life.
