Year 1 - Anti-Bullying Week

Last week, Year 1 have been taking part in Anti-Bullying Week and learning all about what it means to be a super friend. The children talked together about the qualities that make someone kind and supportive. They decided that a super friend is someone who is kind, caring and thoughtful. A super friend shares, helps others, looks after their friends and would never leave anyone on their own.

To bring their ideas to life, the children designed their very own superheroes. Each superhero was decorated with the special qualities and values that the children felt were most important in being a good friend. Their creations showed wonderful imagination and a strong understanding of how we can all make our school a happier and safer place.

Year 1 really enjoyed exploring how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. By learning how to be super friends, they have shown that everyone has the power to make others feel valued and included every single day.

Well done Year 1!
