Year 4 Begin Their Guitar Journey

Year 4 had their very first guitar lesson with Laurie, and what a brilliant start it was. The children were full of excitement as they picked up their guitars and began exploring the basics of playing.

Laurie introduced the group to simple techniques, rhythms and how to handle the instrument with confidence. The hall buzzed with energy as everyone tried out their first chords and created their very first sounds.

Some pupils have already been taking part in Laurie’s before‑school guitar sessions, so they came in with a little experience under their belts. It was lovely to see them supporting their classmates and sharing their growing confidence.

All of the children showed fantastic focus, teamwork and enthusiasm. It’s clear they are eager to learn, and this strong start sets them up for the weeks ahead.

We can’t wait to see how much they progress as they continue their musical journey.
