Year two children came face-to-face with some of the world’s most famous paintings during a special trip to The Lowry.

The Burtonwood Community Primary School pupils have been studying the work of Laurance Stephen Lowry as one of their focus artists this year.

As part of the trip to Salford, the children got to see some of the artist’s most well-known paintings and learn more about his work.

Lowry is famous for painting scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th century.
