Plans for our exciting new outdoor space have now been revealed with work taking place at Burtonwood Community Primary School this summer!
The new area for our Reception children will be ready for new starters in September with plenty of space to learn as well as play.
The plans include a musical area with freestanding chimes and a drum seat as well as playhouse and den making areas.
It will have it’s very own dedicated outdoor classroom space as well as a Nature and Planting area.
Deputy Head Teacher Sarah Ignatius said: “This is a really exciting project for our school. I can't wait to see the finished results and for our new students to start having fun and learning in our brand new outdoor space."
The new area is part of a bigger makeover for our children, with the Reception classroom already having had a complete makeover last term.
The work inside included a new neutral colour scheme across the classroom, new flooring and rugs and all new furniture.
Pupils also now have brand new resources to use, including a new calm reading area with a number of books for the children to choose from to promote a love of reading.
There is also a role play area with a kitchen, table and chairs as well as a science space for all their latest experiments.
Look out for more news of this project over the coming months.
