Year 4 students at Burtonwood Community Primary School recently demonstrated their creativity and strategic thinking during a unique PE lesson. Embracing the High Performance Learning (HPL) values, the students worked in small groups to devise their own games and activities. The game had to have a ball and have players involved.
Incorporating meta-thinking, the children engaged in strategic planning and showcased their ability to think on their feet. The session highlighted the students' fluent thinking and intellectual playfulness, as they brainstormed and refined their ideas into enjoyable games. They applied what they already know by making connections to what they have already learned and applying it to their own games.
The initiative not only fostered teamwork and problem-solving skills but also ensured that the children had a fantastic time while learning valuable lessons about creativity and collaboration. They had to work as part of a team by presenting their views and ideas and listen to others.
Well done Year 4!
