Year 5 students at Burtonwood Community Primary School delighted parents, grandparents, and carers with an impressive showcase assembly that combined innovative technology and creative projects. The event, highlighted the students' explorations and achievements in an engaging and memorable way.
Using advanced video technology, the young learners transported their audience to the Sahara Desert and Antarctica, creating the illusion of being in these remote locations. The realistic backdrop made it seem as though the students were actually standing amidst the sand dunes and icy landscapes, much to the amazement of the audience.
In addition to their virtual travels, the Year 5 students proudly presented their stop-motion videos created with Play-Doh. These animations showcased their artistic skills and storytelling abilities, demonstrating both creativity and technical know-how. They also showcased their self portraits.
The assembly concluded with an invitation for parents and carers to visit the Year 5 classroom. Here, they had the opportunity to explore the children's work up close, gaining insight into the various projects and activities that have been part of their learning journey.
The showcase not only highlighted the diverse talents of the Year 5 pupils but also underscored the supportive and dynamic learning environment fostered at Burtonwood Community Primary School.
Well done Year 5!
