Year 2 Explore Art Through Maps

Pupils in Year 2 have been showcasing their artistic talents by exploring the world of maps in their Art lessons. Using a range of skills and materials, the pupils have embraced their creativity to design imaginative maps, incorporating the High Performance Learning (HPL) attribute of imagination.

The young artists began by sketching out their ideas with chalk and oil pastels, before transforming their original designs into 3D models and abstract art pieces. Each step of the process has encouraged the children to think outside the box.

This week, the Year 2 pupils are eagerly looking forward to completing their final pieces, based on the maps they printed last week.
