Burtonwood Community Primary School Raises £260 for Macmillan at Coffee and Cake Event

Burtonwood Community Primary School hosted a heart-warming coffee morning today in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, raising an impressive £260. The event, which featured a cake sale, brought together parents, grandparents, and the wider community for a morning of fundraising, conversation, and entertainment.

Attendees enjoyed a selection of cakes, with additional treats set to be sold tomorrow on the school playground to further boost the funds raised. Alongside the delicious bakes, guests were treated to performances from different year groups and the school choir.  

However, the fundraising didn’t stop there. Following the coffee morning, the remaining cakes were sold off to pupils during break time, adding a further £138 to the total. This brought the overall amount raised to a fantastic £398, demonstrating the school community's generosity and commitment to making a difference.

A big thank you goes out to everyone involved in the event and to all those who contributed, helping to support Macmillan’s vital work for people affected by cancer.
