Anti-Bullying Week

On Tuesday, 12th November, Burtonwood Community Primary School had a visit from The Warrington Wolves Foundation as part of their Anti-Bullying Week celebrations.

Pupils gathered in the hall to learn about the importance of respect, kindness, and inclusivity in their school community. The coaches shared valuable insights on standing up against bullying and how small acts of respect can make a big difference.

The pupils then put their knowledge to the test with a fun and interactive quiz, reinforcing the key messages. The visit was made even more memorable by an appearance from the club’s mascot, Wolfy, who brought smiles to the day.

Please visit the Anti-Bullying Alliance website for additional resources and support on addressing bullying and fostering respect at home and school.

Year 4 - Collaboration and Concern for Society

Also as part of last week’s Anti-Bullying Week activities, Year 4 pupils worked collaboratively in groups to share their thoughts on anti-bullying and respect, contributing to a shared display. They explored what respect means and how it can be demonstrated in the community, reflecting on the importance of treating others with kindness and understanding.

Throughout the activity, the children showed respect for one another, listening and engaging thoughtfully. Discussions also focused on how to express feelings in a way that remains respectful, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
