Scholastic Book Fair Success at Burtonwood Community Primary School

Our recent Scholastic Book Fair was a fantastic success, bringing together students, parents, and staff in a shared love for reading while raising valuable funds for our school’s library. Held from Friday 8th November to Wednesday 13th November, the fair provided an array of exciting books for all ages, and the enthusiasm from our school community was inspiring.

Thanks to the generous support of everyone who attended, we raised an impressive total of £1,446.17.

For every £300 spent, the school received 25% back to spend on books, and since our sales exceeded £400, we earned an amazing 40% back! This will go directly towards purchasing new books and resources for our library and classrooms. This significant contribution will enable us to continue fostering a vibrant reading culture within the school and offer our students an even wider selection of engaging books.

Our convenient QR code payment system made purchases quick and easy, though we were also happy to offer cash payments for those who preferred. Additionally, students had a chance to participate in a fun competition, with winners receiving a £5 voucher to spend at the fair.
