Big Schools' Bird Watch 2025 - Year 2
Big Schools' Bird Watch 2025 - Year 2
As part of the ongoing Big Schools' Birdwatch 2025, it was Year 2's turn to record any birds that they could see in the school grounds. This national event, running from 7th January to 24th February 2025, encourages students to connect with nature while contributing to an important conservation initiative led by the RSPB.
Year 2 pupils set out to spot as many different bird species as possible. Their observations will add to the data collected by schools across the country, helping the RSPB monitor bird populations and work towards preserving their habitats.
Year 6 has already done a fantastic job spotting birds during their Forest School sessions, and now Year 2 were excited to do the same. We can’t wait to see what birds they discover and how their findings help the project.
We encourage parents to support their children in this activity. Forms are available from Miss O'Shaughnessy or on the Eco Council Notice Board if you'd like to get involved.
Well done to Year 2 for their great start!
