Year 5 Explore Life as an Astronaut for Science Week

As part of British Science Week, our Year 5 pupils had an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of astronauts.

The class watched the BBC Live Lesson, where they explored what life is like for astronauts in space. They watched Tim Peake’s Q&A session, learning fascinating facts about his time aboard the International Space Station. From eating in zero gravity to exercising in space, the pupils were fascinated by the realities of life beyond Earth!

To bring their learning to life, in PE, they recreated the historic Moon landing. They also put themselves through their paces with astronaut training and fitness challenges, experiencing a taste of the strength and endurance needed for space travel.

A fantastic way to celebrate Science Week. Well done, Year 5!
