Year 1 Science

This week in Science, Year 1 have been learning all about the four seasons. The children have explored how the weather changes across the year and the different ways we can see these changes in our environment.

We looked closely at how trees change throughout the seasons, describing how their leaves appear in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The children then created some beautiful finger-painting artwork of a tree in their favourite season, using different colours to show how deciduous trees can look so different at different times of the year.

The class really enjoyed combining art with science and were very proud of their colourful creations, which have helped them to understand and remember the changes we see as the seasons pass.
