Year 4 Science - Teeth
Year 4 Science - Teeth
Year 4 pupils have been exploring the fascinating world of teeth in their science lessons last week. To help them understand the different types of teeth and their functions, the children took part in a hands-on activity using Play-Doh to make their own tooth models.
Using iPads, the pupils examined their own teeth closely by taking photos with the camera. This allowed them to observe the shapes, sizes and positions of each tooth before recreating them in Play-Doh. Once their models were complete, the children labelled the different types of teeth, such as incisors, canines and molars, and discussed how each one helps us to chew and speak.
Pupils were fully engaged as they combined creativity with scientific learning and really enjoyed the lesson. This practical approach helped the children to remember key vocabulary and understand the role teeth play in everyday life.
Well done Year 4!
