Year 5 Science - Creating Salt Flats
Year 5 Science - Creating Salt Flats
Year 5 have been busy investigating dissolving in Science by carrying out an experiment to create their own salt flats.
Building on their previous learning about dissolving, the children wrote their own methods before carefully following the steps to create a salt solution. They then chose where in the classroom to leave their solutions, making predictions about how the location might affect the results.
Over the coming weeks, the children will observe their solutions to see how long it takes for the water to evaporate and salt crystals to form. They are looking forward to seeing the results of their investigations and comparing their findings.
Well done, Year 5, for using your scientific knowledge and following methods carefully.
We look forward to seeing how your salt flats develop.
